I learnt many years ago that if we change our behaviours, the dog instinctively changes too. By changing our mindset it doesn’t just help our dog, it helps us in all areas of our life, to be better parents, partners, in our work life etc. It allows us to see life in a more natural, positive way.
Changes to consultation price as of February 2026. Over the last 18 months or so it has become very apparent that people’s finances are being stretched with many people struggling both financially and emotionally. Owning and being in the presence of a dog can relieve some of these pressures as being in close proximity can provide comfort, security, ease loneliness whilst equally getting you outside for walks amongst Mother Nature, fields, trees, rivers, lakes etc. All of these things are positive to our emotional well-being. I absolutely understand how owning a dog can ease peoples anxiety and frustration during these times yet equally I appreciate how having a dog with behavioural issues can be extremely challenging in many ways. Over the last year or so many people I have spoken to have said they would love to hire me to fix their dogs issues but can’t afford to hire me. This was the reason I offered a 20% discount, however as the economy continues on its course, peoples finances are expectedly only becoming worse!
Dogs are remarkably adaptive and can change ridiculously quickly if we change how we interact with them (irrespective of what some others may say!) I want to help as many people as I can, as the thought of people giving up on their dogs due to behavioural issues that they can’t afford to rectify doesn’t sit right with me. People need all the help they can get right now. So during these ‘challenging’ times I have decided to lower the price of my consultation.
My consultation price is being reduced from £400 to £312.50. The consultation lasts on average 2-3 hours (sometimes more) and will fix the majority of issues, if you can be consistent.
Equally in the last quarter of last year I sent out thousands of flyers offering a discount of 20%, I will still honour that discount so with this discount a consultation will cost £250.
Unfortunately I can’t go lower than that. Should that still be unaffordable then I would highly recommend reading one of my books. If you are considering bringing a puppy into your life then my book “Building Trust With Your New Puppy” covers the first few months. In many cases it is not the dog that is the problem it is us. This book covers humans, puppies and rescue centre dogs as well as diet, leads, leadership and more and could be the book for you.
Consultation £312.50 with 20% discount = £250.00
The consultation begins with a discussion with the family members to establish what has been going on, preferably with the dog in another room. Reason being so you can relax and be honest during the conversation. With the dog in the same room often the owners focus and emotional state is on the dog, not on our conversation. Once I have listened to what you have to say I will then meet and assess your dog. Then we can get to work fixing whatever issues there may be, whilst explaining why the problems manifested in the first place and what to do to stop them from happening again. The consultation generally lasts between 2 - 3 hours, sometimes longer. The majority of problems can usually be fixed in one session, providing you can be consistent.
Follow up visits £100 per hour
Should you feel a consultation is what you are looking for, simply send me an email detailing what the main problem is. Equally include details of when the problem first started (was there a particular event that happened) and at what age, your dogs daily routine, how consistent people are and how the dog interacts with each member of the family.
One Hour Visit. £150 (£100 per hour after if required)
6 x 1 to 1 obedience sessions 1 hour long at your home
Sessions can be bespoke and can include -
walking nicely on the leash,
doorway manners,
basic obedience e.g. sit, wait, come, follow etc. £500
12 x 1 to 1 obedience sessions 1 hour long at your home
Bespoke sessions for puppies or adult dogs. £900
This is aimed at owners who have just purchased a new puppy (often a very expensive purchase), or if you have rescued a dog from a centre, give its new beginning the best start. The benefits of starting training immediately whether you have chosen a puppy or a rescue dog are stark and much easier in their new environment. Starting training immediately can dramatically reduce the need for costly intervention later on.
Some everyday problems can be resolved by video call thereby reducing costs, e.g. doorway manners, manners around feeding.
1 hour video call. £125
Or maybe you have a question or two that needs an expert answer. £75 per hour
If you are looking for a dog, for example at a rescue centre, and are unsure whether the dog is right for you, then I can come with you to assess the dog for you. £100 per hour
